Transactional and promotional credits sit at the same rate here, because the cost difference between them is regulatory rather than commercial. What you are actually buying with a transactional template is the right to reach DND numbers around the clock on a high-priority lane — which is worth far more than a paise either way if your messages are order alerts and payment receipts.
One credit is 160 English characters, or 70 characters in Hindi and other Unicode scripts. A longer message is split and billed per part, so the panel shows you the credit count of a template before you send a campaign on it.

What is the cheapest transactional SMS rate in India?
Our lowest slab is Rs 0.14 per SMS excluding GST at ten lakh credits. Be wary of rates quoted much below that: they are usually a shared promotional route being sold as transactional, which means your alerts will not reach DND numbers and will queue behind other people's campaigns.
Is GST included in the price?
The per-SMS rate is quoted excluding GST, as is standard in the industry, and the table above shows the 18% GST-inclusive amount you will actually pay for each slab. You get a GST invoice for every purchase.
How long do the credits last?
One year from the date of purchase. Unused credits stay in your account until that validity ends, and you can top up at any time without losing what is left.
Is there a setup or annual fee?
No setup fee and no annual platform fee on SMS plans. The only separate cost is the one-time DLT entity registration, which is paid to the telecom operator's portal and not to us — our filing help is free.
