Free SMS API, live in an hour.
The API is deliberately boring. One POST sends a message and returns an ID; one webhook tells you what happened to it. There is no SDK you are obliged to install, no proprietary message format, and no separate charge for API access — you pay for the credits you send, exactly as you would from the panel. Any language that can make an HTTPS request can use it, and so can Zapier if you have no developer at all.
When HTTP stops being the right shape — sustained throughput, tens of thousands of messages a minute, a telecom-grade retry policy — you move to an SMPP bind with a configurable TPS and window size on the same account and the same credits. Most teams never need it; the ones who do usually need it suddenly, which is why it is worth knowing it is there.
- No charge for API access — you pay for credits, not for the integration.
- Sandbox with free credits so you can test delivery on your own numbers before paying anything.
- Per-number delivery webhooks with the operator's own failure reason passed through, not hidden.
- Two-way inbound — replies to a long code or short code posted to your endpoint.
- API key per application with IP allow-listing, so a leaked key from one app is contained.
